The very last words before Jesus ascends to heaven (Acts 1:8) He speaking quite frankly about giving "Power" (Authority) to those who are willing to witness to Him even up to the end of the earth. Also I heard the voice of the Lord, saying:

And who will go for Us?”
Then I said, “Here am I! Send me.”
“Whom shall I send, And who will go for Us?”
For the the ambassador of Christ doesn't required any qualifications at all because "you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you shall be witnesses to Christ to the end of the earth."

20 Now then, we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God were pleading through us: we implore you on Christ’s behalf, be reconciled to God. 21 For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.
